8 Month Update

Well, Jax man is 8 months old! This is nuts!! Everything is going great. He doesn't have another check up until next month. Hes not crawling or walking yet. He rolls everyhwere still. He loves to hold onto our hands and stand up on our lap or the floor. He's getting stronger for sure. It won't be long!

Here lately, with the weather getting warmer and trees blooming, Jaxson and I have been struggling with some allergies. A lot of sneezing and coughing. :( Its warm though, so I can't complain.

We had an awesome time visiting with Matt, Chelsea, and Addison, when they were home a couple weeks ago. Addie is such a cutie. Her and Jax are the same size. They were just too cute. I can't wait for them to be closer to each other so they can play together.

Work is going great. I absolutely love it!! I'm still hoping Joe will find a good job so I can stay at home and maybe go to school. That would be fantastic. I'll keep dreaming!!!

Much needed update

Well, I guess it has been a while. Oops! That's what happens when you have a 6 month old baby and start a new full time job!

So, I can't believe Jaxson is going to be 7 months old on Saturday. This is nuts. He is getting so big. I love seeing his big smiles. He is such a happy baby! I hope this doesn't mean he is going to be terrible in the two stage! Oh dear. No crawling yet. Still no teeth yet either. He's sitting up by himself. Still needs a bit of assistance every once in a while.

I'm still not completely adjusted to the fact that I have to leave Jax with someone all day long and I can't be with him. He's so great in the mornings though. Some days I have to wake him up to go but others he gets up and takes a bottle and watches some cartoons while I get ready. He's always in such a good mood and smiley in the morning. It makes it very difficult to drop him off because I just want to be with him. :( However, taking this new job has been a great decision. I'm absolutely loving it! I really enjoy the people I work with. I'm learning new things and building my knowledge so I'm able to move up into bigger and even better things. I know it's what I have to do right now. I'm still hoping that one day I'll have the luxury of being a stay at home mom. One day....hopefully.

Also, my recent discovery of an excellent exercise program has been keeping me busy as well. I am doing P90X. It has changed my life! I'm actually a Team Beachbody Coach now. I plan on sharing my success with others. It's going great and hopefully I can make some extra money by doing it, so it's worth a shot. Just getting back into a fitness routine and seeing some major results is enough for me. It's going great.

So, I think that covers the latest. Joe, Jaxson, Gracie, and myself are doing wonderful. We will be in Assumption this weekend for Joe's Alumni basketball tournament. I will update sometime after the weekend. I've got to get back on track!

Roly Poly

Jaxson has finally mastered rolling over. He is going to be crawling away in no time. I love that he has figured this out, but at the same time, it makes changing his diaper and clothes, much more difficult. The only thing is, once he gets over on his belly, he doesn't know how to turn back over. He does start to scoot sometimes though.

Time for an Update....its been a while

Santa brought Gracie make up. Don't we look glamorous? Luckily most of it is just glitter. No blush or eye shadow or anything too crazy.

She loved her Crayola Glow Station, which is pretty stinkin neat.

Done yet?

Jaxson had to test it out

Its so completely insane that Jaxson is already 5 months old. I remember every second of labor like it was yesterday! He's growing so fast! It's been a while since I have updated so this is going to be a long one.

Wow, were we busy. We wanted to try and see everyone especially with little man. Of course, he really had no idea what was going on and he slept through most of it, but it was fun to see him watch everyone else. The best part was at Grandmas when he got his jumpy seat deal that he can sit in and it has toys around it. Joe and Matt (Andrea's Husband) were putting it together. I got some good photos of that. He got to a point where he hadn't hardly slept and was almost in a daze. I can't wait for next year when he is up and running around and trying to open his presents along with everyone else's.

HAPPY NEW YEAR! Joe and I took a trip to St. Louis. Jaxson took a trip to Grandmas. It was nice to have a night with Joe. Just him and I. The plan was to meet up with some friends but, we ordered a pizza and watched some tv. It was nice and relaxing. I actually got some sleep too. When we picked Jaxson up from Grandmas is when I noticed he was starting to get sick. Oh, boy!

He just had a little bit of a cough. Joe had been sick recently, and still kind of is, so we think that is where it came from. Saturday is when he really started coughing and had a stuffy nose. Still no fever or anything though. Monday is when it got worse so I decided to take him to the doctor on Tuesday. He was wheezing a bit so they gave him an albuterol syrup to take orally and also amoxicillan because it looked like he was starting to get an ear infection. He was still smiling and flirting with all the nurses so he seemed to be doing ok. That night was the scariest night of my life. He had taken his medicine when we got home around 6. At 9:00pm he was crying and coughing. You could tell it was really hurting him. He was choking from the coughing and crying and it was really a mess. Joe and I were pretty freaked out so we did go ahead and call 911. By the time the EMT's got there, he had calmed down and fallen asleep. I know he was just super tired and he didn't feel good but it seemed like he was crying forever. I don't think it really lasted that long. But, I'd rather be safe than sorry. I didn't know if it was the medicine or what. So, at the hospital they pretty much told us not to use the albuterol syrup. They weren't sure why they gave him that in the first place. We did however get a little machine and we do albuterol breathing treatments. It blows a mist with the medicine in it, into his little face. He actually seems to like it. AND, he is doing so much better. His appetite is still not like it used to be and he still has a cough. They said it could last for up to 2 weeks though. I'm just thankful that he hasn't been extremely cranky or ran a fever. I thank God that he is ok and that we are able to be with him each day.
